Reading Together® at Bledisloe School

Bledisloe School is implementing the Reading Together® programme in Term 2 of 2024, as mentioned here. Quoting from this 1 May 2024 Bledisloe School Facebook post:

Kia ora e te whānau. A reminder to those parents/caregivers that our second Reading Together® workshop is this coming Friday 3 May 1.30-2.45pm in the Whare Pukapuka (Library). Bring your child along for them to read to you this session. For anyone else interested in attending these workshops we still have a few spaces left.

The Reading Together® programme workshops are halfway through now. It was lovely for Laura Mack and myself to listen to tamariki read with their whānau last Friday. Parents and caregivers have been learning about how to help support tamariki with their reading at home, how to help their children select reading material that is appropriate for their ability... Here are some of the beautiful whānau sharing a pukapuka together. Mīharo! Thank you for coming along and supporting this kaupapa.
